This year’s World Book Day theme is ‘Share a Story’.

With the schools being shut how can you help your child/children to celebrate?

* You can encourage them to share a story with the people they live with. This could include getting grandparents or other family members to read stories over video chat.

* Set aside a family reading time when everyone at home can all read their own books or magazines.

* Build a cosy reading den with cushions in a corner, or a sheet draped over chairs to make a tent.

* Read a story or chapter and then act it out together.

We hope you enjoy World Book Day 2021!

Leicester Forest East Community Library would like to wish you all A Happy New Year!

We are sorry to announce that the library will NOT BE OPENING on Monday 4th January as planned in view of the fact the area is now in Tier 4.

The Trustees have taken this decision with a view to keeping our Library Users and Volunteers safe. The situation will be reviewed after the next Governments announcement in two weeks time.

If you need to return books you may deposit them in the Drop Box / Post Box near the doors.

The return date for books has been extended until Monday 1st February and no overdue charges will be incurred if you can not return your books before this date.
