We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Our volunteers are rested and looking forward to an exciting and busy year in the Library.
Our regular groups will recommence starting Monday 6th January and we are looking forward to seeing our regular participants, and hoping to welcome new members to our groups.
See the full list at the end of this Newsletter to see if you would be interested in joining us or maybe you have an idea for a new group which we would happy to discuss at our Events Meeting. Just let the volunteers know!
BACK OFFICE/KITCHEN REFURBISHMENT
STARTING 3RD FEBRUARY
Starting on the 3rd February work will commence on the refurbishment of our back office/kitchen and will take approximately 4 days.
Please bear with us during this time as there will be some noise and we are anticipating some disruption to the serving of hot drinks, which we hope to keep to a minimum.
Before and after pictures of this area will be published on completion of the work.
Due to other commitments Lorraine will not be holding regular Yoga and Relaxation sessions during January and February. Please make a note of the following dates when the sessions will take place for these months.
The sessions will be back to normal from the 24th March onwards.
We will be planning several events for the forthcoming year soon which will include Quiz Nights, a Spring and Christmas Fair and hopefully another Diwali afternoon.
If you would like the library to host any other events please pass your suggestions on to our Volunteers and these can be discussed at our Events Meeting.
Art / Craft
Music / Singing
Taichi Fan Dancing / Movements
If you would like to take part in some or all of these activities please put your name down on the sign up form at the desk so that we can let Yan know how many people to cater for.
We are always happy to welcome new Volunteers at the library.
Computer knowledge is not necessary as there are other ways that volunteers can contribute to the running of the library such as filing books, tidying shelves, making drinks and helping at events, etc.
Ask our volunteers for a signup sheet or visit our website, www.lfelibrary.org and apply online.
Any help would be appreciated.
