As many of you may be aware the Leicester Forest East Community Library is now coming up to its 4th Anniversary with many of us having been involved since its conception in 2015.

We have reached a situation where we are needing to boost the number of volunteers as through various reasons we have lost several of our team in recent months and are struggling to keep the library running.  Without the support of our community we are going to find it difficult to fulfil the current opening hours.

We don’t just need people behind the desk, we would be grateful of any help or contribution you can make.  This could be once a month, an hour a week or on an occasional basis.

Examples of the skills we are looking for are expertise in IT, Caretaking, Finance, Marketing, Bookeeping, General Library Duties & Supporting Events.  Or you could even join our Trustee team who meet once a month.

This could be a great opportunity to make new friends, socialise in a welcoming, relaxed environment, and learn new skills.  We also host various social events and activities in and around the library to involve the wider community.
